New name and new manager
The excecutive director of Scandinavian Marketing Services Oy (Scandinavian Telemarketing Oy until February 1st), Riitta Laukkanen has started as the chairperson of the board of directors since February 1st, 2008. Juhani Lankinen, KTK (Bachelor of Science (Economics and Business Administration) / B.Sc.) started as the executive director of the company in the beginning of February. In connection with the new name, ScanMS is undergoing a transformation and creating services of the future and concepts for success for its clients.
ScanMS has over twenty years of experience in Contact Center –operations. The company has two places of business, one in Helsinki and one in Lahti. Our marketing staff includes approximately 120 employees.
ScanMS offers its customers many-channeled inbound- and outbound –solutions linked with, for example, company and consumer product sales and taking care of customer relations. Our services include also appointment reservation services, marketing surveys, marketing research interviews and face-to-face –services.
The job satisfaction and know-how of the staff are not only one of the main values of the company, they are also competition factors. ScanMS has genuinely been able to realize these values, which is proven by the fact that the company has received recognition in the Best Places to Work in Finland –competition as the only company in the line of business.

ScanMS - One of the best once again
The winners of the Best Places to Work in Finland 2008 –survey and the organizations of the Best Places to Work –list were awarded in Helsinki on January 30th. ScanMS was celebrating its placement on the list of the best companies in Finland for the second time. We improved our position on the list and are now in the 11th place. The survey took place for the sixth time and this year it included 105 companies.The Best Places to Work in Finland are chosen mainly according to the views of the company’s own employees. Two thirds of the score comes directly from the answers in the employee questionnaires filled in by the employees of the company. In addition, every organization taking part in the competition fills in a background survey dealing with personnel management practices of the company, from which an expert opinion made by Great Place to Work Institute of Finland forms one third of the results. Thus, the Great Places to Work in Finland –list is an unbiased indicator of a good place to work.
The chairperson of the board of directors of Scandinavian Marketing Service, Riitta Laukkanen is proud and happy for the success.
- It is not enough that a person is efficient. You also have to enjoy your work. We have a humane and warm work atmosphere, Laukkanen states.
According to the research, 93% of the employees of the company feel that as a whole, Scandinavian Marketing Services is a really good place to work in.
- It is great that a company, which employs also many part-time employees, is successful in the competition. It is possible to improve business culture and mental well-being by other means than money alone, Laukkanen adds.
